Minute Cryptic is, above all else, about fun, silliness and words - and the joy of all three at once. That’s the heart of what we do, and it always will be.

But we also know (because you’ve told us) that for many people, cryptics are a way to stay mentally sharp - a daily habit to help stave off cognitive decline.

Hearing solvers make that association between Minute Cryptic and mental acuity has been incredibly meaningful. It made us start to think:

what if Minute Cryptic was about fun, silliness, words and cognitive health?

If we’re going to say that, we have to mean it. And that means putting real money behind it.

So far, we’ve donated $41,000 AUD to fund research and support programs through Alzheimer’s Research Australia.

This is just the beginning - as Minute Cryptic grows, we’ll keep donating.
